I don't want to go into details because clearly non of us know the details of what goes behind the player procurement discussions, but there was clearly some kind of disconnect between the manager and the owners and or the rest of the transfer committee committee? How else would one explain the acquisition of certain players which the manager never plays.

I kind of do and I kind of don't.

The reason why I don't have that much sympathy is because Rodgers knew what he was getting into when he was interviewed. Just like any other job the owners would have told him what they wanted and he sold himself on how he could deliver this vision. So it's a bit silly for him to argue why he isn't being successful when actually he would have agreed to these particular terms of his employment.

Spotting talent at an early age and bringing them through the team demands a great amount of ability and experience. Rodgers has ability but he also has a great number of flaws that also impede this. The biggest problem is that he doesn't have a strong influence to stop key players wanting to leave, aka Suarez or Sterling. If they want to leave to win trophies and titles somwhere else, isn't that really undermining him and the owners and what they want to achieve?  It's the ultimate way of calling their bs.

Once again our owners have stepped upto the plate, hired the best manager out there and put their money where their mouth is.
THANK YOU.  :bowdown

Rodgers was on 3.6 million a year, they've doubled up to get the best paying Klopp a whacking 7.0 million.
THANK YOU.  :bowdown

They trusted BR with an outrageous budget, they paid him and his team off and increased the ante taking on Klopp and his team.
THANK YOU.  :bowdown

They have acted with dignity throughout their ownership and I have full confidence in them to maintain the clubs best interests.
THANK YOU.  :bowdown

They have ignored fan abuse, media wind ups and not responded to day to day criticism. We could not have asked for better owners after the T&T debacle. THANK YOU.  :bowdown

And JH's missus is still a cracker!  :buttrock  :buttrock  :buttrock

Yep, fair dues to FSG, they have made a real statement of intent in getting someone like Klopp.

Liverpool announce the launch of its official Arabic website!
------
With an obvious demand for LFC in new world territories, does this mean that potential new investment from this part of the world is coming?

Some people are taking a pop at the owners saying they're not supporting the manager with January transfer funds! Weirdos!

One more well deserved compliment for the owners - we see Chelsea, United in need of new managers, Citeh needing to revamp their squad possibly under a new manager and Wenger likely to stand down at the end of the season.

Well done NSEV for not waiting, dismissing Rodgers in October and booking Klopp for the Reds before the other clubs' problems came to light and competed for his signature.

Good owners these.  :buttrock

Totally agree Reg. The owners acted quickly and if we left it longer we'd have faced one hell of a battle for Jurgen, thankfully he's ours and I can't wait to see what he can do for us down the line

Pep is going to be an insanely expensive manager, he'll be able to command whatever salary he pleases when all these clubs come calling

FSG are the best suitable fit for the short to long term success of LFC.
TOO many fans out there today just want to see the quick quid solution like at Chel$ki and $hitie - but look at how those clubs are now doing with their hired mercenaries!

Yeah, look at all the titles we have won during that time while they have won nothing... oh, wait....
Continue with that deluded tripe and we will have 0 titles the next 25 years...

Are you being sarcastic  ? £77 for a category A game ,and a huge step to pricing the real fans out of Anfield . The owners can make all the concessions for kids and category C games they want ,we all knew greed would win out in the end.

This is how the power of the media, plus ignorance, can make a good story. What we have here is an attempt by Ayre to spin the ticket situation to convince us that we have benefitted.
I am disappointed and angry that A: he should even try this bullsh'it and B: that people would fall for it

Precisely my sentiments mate ,I cant believe how anyone can be that easily duped into believing the price hike is not down to plain avarice, and actually view such a duplicitous statement as the owners giving something back !   :no
