At Anfield watching the game, Im going to take that as we have signed him.
We do need a left back but in my eyes hes not an immense player, only time will tell though I suppose, models himself on Julian Dicks I seem to remember.....
Good luck mate, hope you outshine yourself here finally in a great team, we know you have a load of heart, hope you apply yourself in the right way.

This is what things have come to Liverpool are signing Paul Konchesky, whats next Matthew Etherington on the left wing? I knew things were bad but this confirms it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Question you have to ask yourself is that was he the best we could have got for the money? Although i like Aurelio, there is no chance in hell he will stay fit for a season, and although I rate Agger highly, Konchesky would have done 20 times better against Adam Johnson against man city.

hes not that bad, England International, this is a good step up and chance for him (He's 29, perfect age, this is his last chance)

People are jumping on this fella because hes from Fulham.
He is actually a pretty good player. Got a very nice cross on him and is good defensively.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he's miles better than Andrea Dossena, Philip Degen and some of the other fullbacks we've had at the club in recent years. (Not meant as a dig at the former manager, more as a reality check for some of our supporters...)

Evra cost £5.5 mil. Clichy didnt even cost a £1 mil did he?
Konchesky is average at best. Will he do a job? Yes. Should we be aiming higher? Hell yeah!!

Konchesky is a decent enough left back but I'll be disappointed if we pay the reported £4 million for him. He is nearly 30 and and only has 11 months on his contract so £4 million does not represent value for money. If he was 25 and had a long term contract he would be worth around £3-4 million.
In any case, he will be a reliable enough option at left back, not an excellent player or even a very good one, but reliable enough. Nicky Shorey was available for about £1 million and would have been a better option considering the money being quoted for Konchesky and Luke Young.

Koncesky is not as bad as being made out to be - he is a pretty solid left back with a lot of experience and is better than Insua .

Not brilliant - not terrible
Not worth 4 million though imo

4 million ?!? WTF - seriously 4 Million ?!? He is ok but that's 3 million more than he is worth - So Fulham get Salcido who is miles better for 1.5 mil and we give them 4 mil for Koncesky - that's shocking business
