Delighted for Kelly and I really hope being there and experiencing what its like to play in the biggest tournaments helps his development. That said, I find it incredible that the likes of Micah Richards, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and to a lesser extent Ryan Taylor and Nathan Dyer would fail to make the squad while Henderson and Kelly are brought in.

Regardless, all the best to all 6 Liverpool players and I have a feeling Carroll will have a good tournament if picked in Rooney's absence.

Our boys are good lads and keep their traps shut and thats why they got picked.

Not that arsed over England personally but I do hope our boys do alright and we
benefit next year from a boost in their confidence.

Richards refused to go on the Standby list

Henderson actually performs very well for England Under 21 and this is the next step up

Lets hope they all avoid injury.

Strange we have so many players for a team that came 8th in the league.

out for 3 months minimum. obviously johnson shifts back to right back and one of enrique/robinson/downing will be left back.

With a small squad its clearly not good that both Kelly + Lucas are out long term.
Fingers Crossed for Agger

LFC say "Martin Kelly out of action for a significant period of time after scans revealed he suffered an ACL rupture of his right knee."

Agger looks bad and might be out for the rest of the year or season.

Change your source Lakes

No ligament damage to Agger, when swelling is off he can start training again, says his agent.

be interesting to see if we shift johnson back to right back again as he's been excellent at left back. if you do then you either have to play enrique (out of form), robinson (still a kid) or downing (not his natural position at left back. i've seen calls today to keep johnson where he is and play flanagan or wisdom at right back.

just please god no carra at fullback.

as gutted as i am for kelly, we are fortunate that full back is the one position that we are blessed with plenty of decent competition for places. if johnson stays left then we have flanagan or wisdom who despite being young have shown they are good players. if johnson goes back right - which i think he should - we have enrique, who will surely come back into form at some point soon, robinson, or downing who can play there. any of these options are way better then carra going there. rafa probably would have gone with carra, rodgers will probably turn to youth or play enrique back into form.
