I'm sorry if this offends anybody,

Mr Benitez took a £4M pay off from a job which he should've resigned.

£4M, knowing full well he would be on the wage bill of Inter Milan within a fortnight.

Mr Benitez took £4M in full knowledge that next season's transfer kitty is a paltry £5M.

Is this really the act of a man who has the club and fans at heart?

I know its a nice gesture, but £96,000 is less than 2 weeks wages for Mr. Benitez. If he donated the whole £4M then I would be happy.

But if you expect me to think he's a saint, for donating 100k out of the £4M of our money, you can swivel.

:glare: actually it was £6m pay off out of a £16m entitlement.... get yer facts right.

.. as for defending Rafa, nuff said on his gesture in this and other threads - ask those he left the money with, what they think of him.. I'm sure you still won't get it

Its more than that and like Leon said in his 2nd post in this thread.

It has nothing to do about the money.

I am not sad, small-minded, or an idiot.

I just support LFC.......

..... not Mr Benitez

I really hope the new manager gets this much support.

Ciggy and NANNY RED, you should be proud of yourself.

This will be my last post on this forum.

I joined this forum in the post Istanbul summer of 05,  I know I've only posted 250-odd times but when I've felt something needed saying, I've said it.

Unlike many others, this is the ONLY place I've posted in the last 5 years.

But if I can't say what I feel, without being abused, its not worth it.

Just remember one thing.

Players, Managers and Owners come and go, its their JOB.

The supporters always stay, its their LIFE.

Its been emotional

Get over yourself lad :D

You take a bit of flak for commenting on an extremely sensitive subject and throw your rattle out :p

If your so convinced make a stand and be prepared to defend that stand, don't simply go off in a sulk..........

A little bird tells me that Mr Benitez also left a cheque for £200,000 with the Hoylake Cottage Hospital.

(in addition to the £40,000 the fundraiser at the club a couple of weeks before he resigned.)

Apparantly he signed a number of very large cheques but one the HSF one has become public knolwedge.

There is no doubt Rafa the man is class, shame his management wasn't up in the same stratosphere.
