Been copping a pasting lately, but he was very good against Chelsea. Didn't get into the wrestle and didn't make many if any mistakes. A better game from him.

His partnership with Sakho is now starting to look comfortable, something he never ever had with Lovren.

Can will probably fill in there, been unlucky with injuries but blessing may be it will force club to push for new faces this window rather than the summer.

Your not wrong about the injuries, SSN were showing the EPL injury table this morning and we are 2nd behind Newcastle :(

How long until Dejan is back? Can and Sakho may be suitable. Please don't put Lucas there.

Skrtel was sent off for the U21's last night (2 yellows), will that result in a 1 match ban for the full team ?

I don't think so, but you can see him starting ahead of Lovren or Sakho anytime soon?

I'll make Kolo & Tiago Ilori as backup ahead of Skrtel at the moment...that guy just screw up the entire defence and can't seems to do the basic right

Skrtel is a good defender but it's about the right fit and he isn't the right fit for a team that want's to step up as his natural movement is to drop deep and give himself time. This causes havoc if all of your other defenders step up. He would do well for Rafa at Newcastle if they stay up.

Funny how some players are afforded things others are not.
Was Skrtel poor? Yes, he was very poor. It was his 1st game after a long injury.
I remember another player that came back early January after a long injury and was absolutely Sh*t for at least 5 games.
But ah, it was the injury, it was all the excuses in the world for him.
With Skrtel it's one half and he is garbage, end of. Lovely perspective there.....

I think it's more of a case of people seeing the same old problems, i.e. shirt pulling, dropping too deep, getting bullied by an aggressive striker, etc.
