The argentinian is impressing every time he is getting a game. I thought he was really solid today, and some of his crosses were sublime, especially the one he whipped in for Nabil El Zhar. He looks good on the ball, his passes were decent, had a good touch and closed down really well and his defending was overall solid. He lacks a bit of pace and isn't dominant in the air, maybe because he is a bit short.  He is a better defender than Dossenna and I think its time for him to get run of games in the team because he does look like a decent prospect.

Agree. Flog Dossena and Babel and get some coin for either a wide player on the right, or a quality back up striker.

he´s not decent, he´s consistent and good.
He can make good crosses, can Dossena? Can Arbeloa? No.

I'd definately throw him in at the deep end now and tell him if he plays like he played today he will keep his place.Dossena is no where near as good and Aurelio cant stay fit,it should be a no brainer for Rafa.
Yes he's young, but looks like the talent is there.Looks a very good prospect but we can only really judge for sure after he has played a run of games in the first team.

Actually Dossenna is an excellent crosser of the ball, but unfortunately he can't defend.

Dossena is only good eating pies.

I'd argue Dossena can whip in a decent cross, rather I think the problem with him lies in his inability to perform simple defensive duties and cover the left side - he too easily drifts/is drawn out of position.

Insua looked good, however we have yet to see him against a classy winger who is going to really test his defensive capabilities. If it had been Walcott or Ashley Young up against him today then this topic might be heading down a different road.

He played really well away to Blackburn too and I thought he woudl have been a shoe in for at home against Hull but Rafa obviously felt at home would a chance to blood in Dossena in more.
