ok then :-
Cavalieri - 5 : Did well but came for a couple of balls and didnt get them, and then didn't come for a couple of balls he should have.
Insua - 6 : Did well without standing out and offered little to our attacks. Struggled in the air against a much taller player. I thought Masch looked to help him out a little too much, as I don't think he needed it.
Carragher - 5 : Not one of his better games, was exposed for pace a couple of times and with Bable offering no real help needed Riera to switch sides to contain the threat of Wallace.
Hyppia - 7 : Good game again from Sami, beaten a couple of times too many in the air for comfort , but strong, solid and always dependable.
Agger - 7: I thought he coped well considering the strength and size of the Portsmouth front two, he is much better against smaller more skillful players but held his own and the Preston players quite a bit too.
Babel - 3 : Showed everything I don't like about him, no heart, no bottle, no brains.
Riera - 7: Did well until he faded as usual, I would have been fuming with him for not crossing the ball ..... if he hadn't put it in the net.
Alonso - 7 id well but misplaced a lot of his longer passes, kept the midfield ticking and was missed later in the second half when Preston attacked.
Mascherano - 7: Seems to be slowly getting back to his best, but he should practice his shooting a bit more, had a couple of good opportunities (one went close).
Gerrard - 8 : My M.O.T.M, always looked the most likely to break the deadlock and seems to be almost a level above the rest of the team at the moment.
Keane - 4 : I am probably a bit hard on Keane because of his missed chances, as the rest of his game was reasonably good, but a striker gets paid to put chances like those away and he didn't!

Babel's got to start taking his chances , i thought he played better when he went upfront , there was on a couple of occasions where he won the ball fairly but the ref called a foul . He's a good player with so much talent , its time he showed some of . He did play well defensively though
