Gerrard has started 29 games and Lucas has started 17. By my reckoning Lucas actually did some very good work before Gerrard was introduced into his new role. I fully accept that Gerrard is doing a fantastic job but he also had a lot of help when he wasn't at his best (that is not to say that I ever regarded him as a liability) earlier in the season. You seem to have very conveniently forgotten that. This season has been about the team. If he has always made our team into 12 then its 13 lately, absolutely insane.

Arguably his best season ever, certainly better than more recent years, think Rodgers played a blinder moving Gerrard deeper this year, it's worked a treat. Have to echo Stu's sentiments about people who wanted, or thought Lucas was better, or more important etc etc - CRAZY. There's simply no contest whatsoever.

You could put Gerrard in goal and he'd probably be a better keeper than Mig's.

Truly inspirational, go and lift that cup Stevie!!!

Totally agree KK. Just a shame that the self proclaimed resident expert Stu has to castigate Lucas in such a thoroughly distasteful manner !! The lad does not deserve that kind of shite !!

4 matches lads.... just 4. Be happy and positive and forget the snide sniperesque comments and I told you sos and bleedin point scoring against each other and petty bickering will ya?

It is so close and i am so excited and nervous and happy all at the same time. Once these 4 matches are done and we are champions or not, we can start kicking lumps out of each other again FFS.
Every single one of our players has played a role in this campaign and tried their hardest and with one exception, they all deserve our respect.
