You could tell from the off his confidence was sky high.

I think he's finding his feet in that 4-2-3-1 formation, if he could improve his finishing he'd be great.

Im chuffed with tonight's performance, we kept going even when 3, 4 nil up. Reminded me of the 80's teams.

Re. This 4-2-3-1 - Maybe Rafa has stumbled on something here, we may have turned a corner.

Dont you think though he needs to toughen up a bit there was a couple of times tonight when he S.hit himself going in for a ball and they were winnable balls, i said earlier hes a big strong lad but hes scared of getting in the mix but i suppose thats something hell have to learn thats the only dissapointment for me he needs to ues his strength a bit more and start getting stuck in,

I think Raffas stumbled on somethimg with playing Kuyt out wide though :D looks a different player

Well, it's his first season in England so I doubt you can expect a
player of his kind to be like that straight away.

Kuyt's first touch let him down (again) a few times as well.  :p

Rafa after the match.....

“In the first half we created a lot of chances and with just one goal I was thinking ‘hmm maybe it’s going to be one of those days where they score a silly goal and we end up disappointed’, so at the end I was really pleased with the performance of the team, we played well and we scored four goals and got a clean sheet.”

“It was a great team effort, maybe people will talk about Torres’ three goals but the defenders, midfielders and everyone else were really good too.”

“He’s on fire now, It’s good for him - and for the team it’s fantastic.” he added.

Benitez spoke of the off-the-field antics hinting his team focused on what was important to them.

“We have an important game against Newcastle on Saturday so if we can get three points we can start thinking about the Champions League again (vs Inter).  But we have to keep going because Everton are pushing and so are Aston Villa.  I think the team are concentrated on football.”

It's a shame other teams are so spineless when they play Chavsea, because we are only five points behind them.

Great result tonight and a good performance too.

Brilliant to see Alonso back playing again. With Alonso, Masch and Gerrard as a midfield three it really doesnt get much better. They all offer something different to the team and we just look class in the middle.

We are so much better when we attack teams and play with a high tempo, exciting to watch again. Lets hope our run continues.

Dont need to say anything about Torres, absolute class!

Well done lads.

Ripped from RAWK

Our Fernando,
Who art of heaven
Hallowed be your name
Thy first goal come
Thy hat trick will be done
Away, as it is at Anfield.

Give us this day, our three points,
And forgive us our :censored: Hats
As we slag off those money-grabbing :censored:
who trespass against us

And lead us not into the UEFA cup
But deliver us from the bitters

Amen  :D :D

The ball began glowing when Torres laid his hands upon it.
