The difference? Emilio played in Real Madrid with two strikers and attacking style, and Aldo in Real Sociedad. At the time what was fashionable in here was a defensive 4-5-1. Sometimes you could even see a sweeper, which you can't see any more.
So being second on the scoring table just shows he was a straight away success.
