One of the Kops favorites and will forever remain so ,although I do wish he hadn't got his whinge on in the latter stages of Dalglish's tenure ,because that sort of marred his legend a wee bit ....Anyway your perpetual motion will be missed Dirky boy

PS ...the Turks can only legally stab you in the arse,so at least your back will have time to heal .

Superb player Kuyt who made it work at Anfield after a rocky start.

We musnt forget he was purchased as a striker but had to adapt to life
on the flank which cannot of been easy but he got on with his job.

I guess Fenerbache have offered him a decent contract and game time
so that will be the attraction raher than the league hes playing in really.

No doubt his replacement will be able to run a bit faster, well I hope!

Good luck to him.

I'm thankful for everything Kuyt has done for us, and truly a rare type of player to find these days. Wish him all the best in Turkey. YNWA Kuyt!

Too bad we couldn't get a decent fee for him. Heard he left for 1m(something about his release clause in his contract).

a shining exmaple of how a player with limited technic ability can play at the highest level.

Ok, he might not have been the 20+ goal a season striker we thought we signed, but he adapted to wing play very well and proved a good signing in the end. Wish him well and think this is the right time for him to move on.

All the best Dirk. You are an anfield legend... you may not be one of the greats but your effort and heart certainly matched the greats...  :bowdown

scandalous fee if what's being reported is true, he lost his place under Kenny and it's probably the best time for him to move on though. I wish the guy all the best, he's really selfless, hard working and was usually there when we needed him. YNWA Dirk

The fee was part of a clause in his contract

He is 32 now so I'm not sure we could have got much more

I'm pretty sad to see him leave :(

All the best Dirk.

Quality player. Shame he couldn't hit a barn door shooting wise.

He was a master at holding posession of a ball, passing, but could not score outside of the six yard box.

We got our moneys worth out of him, fair to say.

A legend but also a technically limited player which says a lot about his drive, passion and commitment to the club.

YNWA Kuyt  :buttrock

Dirk was always under estimate on these forums. He easily played 1-2s and got 10+ goals a season playing at right wing. Which is amazing because what he lacked was speed and the ability to dribble and run past players.

I'll always remember him for being the dedicated and hard working player he was.

Thanks for all you've done Dirk the heart and soul of Liverpool Football Club for so long and in so many ways.

All the best for the future.

The big wages I suspect he was collecting may make the smaller fee less of an issue. Will miss Dirk, an excellent player who popped up with a fair few useful goals at crucial times!

Wide players must be on Rodgers' agenda, especially with the imminent departure of Maxi to come too...
