I agree that the quality of posts on the site has dropped over a period of time. I have been a member a good while and have seen a marked decrease in the actual quality debate that goes on - most of the time we as already mentioned are always going on about possible signings, money and other bits that are repeated week on week in different threads.

The advanced debate forum is rarely used either, mainly because of the same problems on a far lesser scale. IMO the access to the advanced debate forum should be limited further (over 500 posts) and be assessed on an individual basis by the mods... At least then we may cut some of the one line no brainer posts.

Post 984 - Yeah I like Defoe too, and Bent

It's nice to discuss a rumour and then it disappears down the page as it gets old. If you don't discuss rumours in the main forum then what are you going to discuss? (especially in the summer when there's no games) And if individual rumour threads are unpopular don't post in them and they will disappear faster
