I respect and I like you Lando, you know that.

But Cañizares? never.

He has an EGO bigger than Spain. And he's the most stupid player you can get. Meaning, have you known ever a player that gets injured because he drops the parfurm bottle in his foot?

That's Cañizares for you. He missed a world cup that way. He's had many troubles with some players of Valencia, and his hair dress is a personal insult.

If you need an sub, aged, with experience and good keeper, then I'd think about Palop, the Sevilla player. But he's been too many years as a sub, and probably he's now enjoying first team football. In Spain I'd take a close look to Abondanzieri, Aouate, Bravo the chilean, and Palop.

Cañizares? no. If he comes I'll leave the forum.  :D

have to agree...canizares isnt that good anymore and wouldnt make a good signing anyways...

a player for four million wouldnt improve much on our squad...probably backup....but figo is available on a free...if we can sign him up and offer him a 1year deal i think he can do a job for us....still one of the best wingers around.

Best player in the Championship imo.

Amazing that nobody's really taken a chance on him over the past few years. Excellent player but I believe his attitude is not the best though.

He has got a bad attitude and a big ego.

At Liverpool with our kid, and he was a total toss pot.

Canizares is not the type of player we should be looking for IMO, we've got two of the best young goalkeepers out there, Canizares would be a step back IMO.

As for Figo, presumably you mean pay him £4m a year given he's on a free, if that's the case then I'd question why he was coming here. Just like I questioned why he even considered going to Qatar - for the money.

Nor do I think he'd like playing in England, he seems like a guy who wants a continental lifestyle earning as much money as he can whilst getting a tan on the beach.

I know him well (i played in the same team when we were about 14) he can be a bit cocky at times but is not exactly a trouble maker.
He was at Liverpool years ago, but did his YTS at Tranmere so your talking about before he was even 16, 11 years ago, he will have changed since then.

I wouldnt mind him at Liverpool to be honest if it was as a squad player. When Rafa does his usual rotating he is a decent enough player to come in and still make things happen.
