The article is true, as it's the official site of Recreativo de Huelva.

They say the dream that all Recreativo fans are yearning for (they really wanted him) has become true, and that they made a "great effort" of 2.7M quid to achieve it. They also claim that they managed to do it despite the interest of other clubs.

The contract is until 2011. No details of the contract are disclosed (for instance if there will be pluses for performance etc).

From your point of view, it's perfectly understandable you consider it a low price. But from their point of view, it's an important effort. The article says it's the beginning for incoming bright days, and that Sinama will be the key stone for blah blah blah. Irrelevant.

Spanish football had a lof of money in year 2000 because they were forwarded the TV rights money for several years. Instead of saving it, most clubs wasted all of it as soon as they could. Now, there's not much money in Spain for football, and the proof is Real Madrid's attempt to sign up Alonso yesteryear: for them the 25 M offer was "very important", but for Liverpool was "ridiculous".

That situation in Spain won't last longer as new TV rights are being negotiated for the next 2 years since a new TV has entered the market. That means that in 2 years the Spanish clubs will have money again, and probably, they'll waste the money again. But right now, 2.7M quid for them is an important offer. Note that here the clubs are paid by TV according the support or importance they have, Recreativo receives less than Real Sociedad, and Real Sociedad less than Atletico de Madrid.

That's why English Market is too expensive and the Spanish peninsula is an interesting place to go fishing right now.

Sinama is a very good player. I suffered him this season. I think he's good enough for both leagues, although maybe, he's not good enough for this club.

I understand he wants to stay in a club that has made him succesful and regular player. Perhaps he should have talked about LFC with a bit more respect instead saying things like he doesn't like the rain of Liverpool or that he suffered a bit in England. But despite that mistake, I wish him luck. He's a good player.
