You NEED AT LEAST two players in every position.

2 Goalkeepers... Dudek and Kirkland
2 right backs... Finnan and Carrahger
2 left backs... Riise and Vignal
4 centre backs... Henchoz, Hyypia, Traore and ??
2 right sided midfielders... Murphy and ??
2 left sided midfielders... Kewell and Smicer
4 Centre mids... Gerrard, Hamann, Welsh, Le Tallec
4 Strikers... Owen, Pongolle, Baros and Cisse??

Cheyrou i would keep to give him more of a chance to prove himself but he'd only get one more season.

The rest who aren't in the list should leave.

The question marks to be filled in. I'd like Malbranque and Cisse... would have liked Boumsong. Don't know any other that are available and good enough.

waddaya mean by choosing all of them? ???  Cheyrou has improved tremendously now. you should have seen his effort in feeding good balls to owen, who just misses them and place his hands over his head. Cheyrou will be there soon just watch him. :;):

Or sufficiently versatile players to cover a number of players. That still doesn't justify signing mediocre french cr@p at a ridiculous price, I can't believe you want to sign three more french players after some of the (french) players Kermit has signed

As someone who spent his pocket money watching Liverpool when we were in the Second Division, who sold his bike and dog and stole his mams money to go to that first Euro game in Iceland, who's lost one marriage through him dissappearing all over Europe following them. I think I'm entitled to have my say. Houllier has not risked one thing for this job (forget about the aorta problem it was Not stress related ,ts one of those things ,and if anything being under the Liverpool proptection probably saved his life with the speed of treatment)
There are too many people ,including GH ,who's egos are bigger than their love of the club. Who talk to the real supporters as if we're idiots telling us that this players will be world class or that we were unlucky or that it should have been a penalty. They never appear to take a step back and look at themselves and question the important decisions they've made wrong.
OK I was lucky being there during the Shankly/Paisley years but what I did learn was that it really is a simple game made difficult by cleverdicks. We didn't win every game and both Shanks and Paisley made mistakes but they were big enough to learn from them and I cannot remember leaving a game with them in charge where I felt cheated, win or lose.

The buck stops at Houllier so he must go and take moores with him. Get rid of the sh##e players and also, let Micheal go (i know that sounds irational) but the lad looks disillusioned, i feel for him, he cant tear all arond the pitch like stevie g to show his commitment, he is commited dont get me wrong, but, he looks like his mind is elsewhere maybe at the bernabeu with becks and co, or milan with Gattusso's army!
