I've just been reading about it. I would love it if they did move. They should be renamed Kirkby FC. One of their supporters at the AGM stated that "it would be like raising a white flag to Liverpool FC and giving them the city" quite right, now F**k Off.

Everton FC - The people of Kirkby's club.

Sorry for asking this question as I can't relate to the actual level of rivalry between Liverpool and Neverton as I am not residing in England, but what was their basis/rationale for calling themselves the "people's club in Liverpool"?

Is it because most Liverpudlians support Neverton and that a big chunk of the crowd filling Anfield do not come from Liverpool? I is it because more Liverpool boys dream of playing for Neverton than Liverpool? Or do they actually sell more replica shirts than Liverpool?

So many questions...the mother of them all is that is this claim backed up by hard evidence? Or are they just a bunch of sad losers that they fashion themselves after a slogan because they can't outdo us any other way? :p

This was on another forum:

Can I tell you a story of a poor team
Who were sent far away from their home
To live in the sticks of Knowsley
Where only the cattle do roam

They were banished to a lower division
Had no hope of seeing far foreign lands
The fans swarmed around in their hundreds
With their tesco bags grasped in their hands

Oh a battle it started next morning
Over at aisle number one
Oh those poor Evertonian :censored:
Were all scrapping over the last bun

As they lay on the aisles of the Tesco ( of the Tesco)
Knocking over the cakes and the bread
And the bread!!!
As they lay on the aisle of the Tesco
These were the last words they said

" Oh we are the Evertonians,
Our ground is made of wood
Were horrible bitter :censored:
Cause we've never been that good.
We support a team that's dressed in Blue
Its a team that no-one knows.
A team sponsored by Tesco cause that's where we buy our clothes.
