Personally I'd look at Agbonlahor, he has pace, takes players on and gets to they byline a lot. He's a real goal threat as well. I've been very impressed with him this season and he's defo one to look at for the future IMO.  Villa would probably slap a ridiculous price tag on him though

Disagree with that. Decent player, never a top quality one. Besides, he's naturally a centre forward.

Queresma(sp)Porto, good player with 2 great feet. He plays to a higher standard than Ronaldo did before he joined Mancs. Not seen much of Queresma but from what I have seen he is definately going to be a real talent.

liverpool to swoop for seville's  daniel alves...

rafa benitez will more than likely move for daniel alves once the takeover is in place, to play as a right winger... thats what i expect once rafa has the money...  watch this space...   :;):

Quaresma is older than Ronaldo by like 2 years, and Ronaldo has been in England for 3 and a half.  So that's not really a fair comparison.

I didn't realise he was so old mate.I thought he was only about 19/20. Still a good player, but maybe not as great a prospect as I thought.

Well, he's not really "old". I think he's 23 or 24. :p

He was considered an outstanding prospect years ago when Barcelona bought him, but he had problems with the manager and everything. Didn't play much and kind of was considered a flop somewhat.  He's gotten his career back on track since, though.

Some of these suggestions are ridiculous.  Joaquin?  We've been through all that before - never worth the money he'd cost and he's showing us right now at Valencia that he struggles at a big club, too inconsistent.

Agbonlahor?  The guy has pace and feck all else.  He's the new Darius Vassell, nothing more.

Pennant and Gonzalez might not be the answer, but we at least owe them more of a chance than they've had.

IMO the league's a write-off but barring disaster we should still be fine for a top 4 finish and CL next season.  We might as well play guys like Pennant, Gonzalez and Agger week-in week-out now in the premiership and see what they can do.

quaresma would be a great signing. Our very own C ronaldo. Quaresma is also much more creative than ronaldo and he is a better passer.
