Phil's song - My piece dedicated to him

now no laughing!

now back in 59 when the king was in his prime..
a fire breathing warrior from glenbuck he had arrived...
he led the mighty reds back up onto the mountain high
then stood there with his arms outstretched and he began to cry....
CHORUS "oh we hail from fortress anfield we are riding out at dawn
the rest of them will fear the hand that wields a mighty sword
and be prepared for battle men, as one by one shall fall
we'll take the cup and bow before the redmen on the ball.."
uncle bob took up his arms and carried on the fight..
a wiser man could not be found in any kind of light...
and when the liverbird she rose above the roman skies..
we sang our hearts out with our voices full of joyful pride...

a new king had replaced the old and kenny was his name
a smile so bright a heart so strong and oh how could he play...
the fair green fields of pastures far were witness to the day..
when history was made upon the steps of wembley way...

now rafa rules his empire with a will as strong as iron.
a humble soul beats out the tempo each step along the line.
and when the day of triumph is once more within our sights..
we'll all stand up and punch the air thats filled with blood red fire ..
