I know there has been lots and lots of talk about Murphy and Owen.

It may seem redudant, but the fact remains that these two lads are Liverpool's cream of the cream. We let them go easily.

Owen's departure was a well not drama. Highlighted in the news. Whereas Murphy's was a silent sale.

Murphy is superb. Very creative and persistent. He was a bit rotten while GH benched him. Now after frequent games in Charlton, he is outstanding.

Why was he sold?

If anyone has information about Danny Murphy's sale pls. write here.

Murphy doesn't want to leave, not like owen who want to win trophy coz liverpool cannot give him that.
murphy can offer more than garcia and josemi combined but rafa don see that..life goes on. i fully support rafa treatment on owen saga coz he the one who want to leave-play with big boys and get nothing..

Rafa sold him , He told Murphy basiclly your not in my plans but you  are welcome to fight for first team football.
Murphy decided that he wanted regular first team football , and now he has got it.

I thought Murphy was sold for only 1.5 million, not 3-4 million.

2.5million.

He was sold as he was one of the few players we could get any money for.

It was the right decision.

However, we are missing his creative play and through balls as much as we are missing Michael Owen running onto the end of them.

Infact, had we had Bent and Murphy this season, we'd be alot better off. :)

Not just that, lately he is playing way too much, as is the accident-waiting-to-happen Traore. What a joke this pair are.

With Gerrard, Alonso, Hamann and (Sissoko) he might have struggled to get a game. He should have fought for his place as his battling qualities could well have helped us when we seemed to play with no desire. He was no more than a squad player for us, and rightly so. I cannot see a comparison with Garcia, they are different type players.

Hope he does relatively well.

I wouldn't have said that. Murphy was a good player, but nothing exceptional. Certainly not in the calibre of Owen (who I dislike and have never rated too highly!).

I've seen a few of Charlton's games and the reason Murphy is playing so well is because Charlton have set up their midfield so it suits Murphy's style of play. Murphy is given more space up the pitch to make through passes because Smertin and Kishishev have been doing the dirty work in the midfield.

He is their playmaker, their attacks all go through him.

Had he stayed with us he wouldn't had played as well because the midfield wouldn't had been made so it would accomidate him.

but no matter how well our midfield been set up, Garcia still a threat for us. :(

The lad who scored 13 goals last season, yeah he's a real threat to US.
