Hi all,

Literally just in from a holiday and trying to catch up. Hoping you lot can help me out a little. I left just before the window closed and haven't seen many newpapaers, looks like the following:

1. Owen to newcastle.
2. No more signings by us at the last minute.
3. 2-1 win in the CL last night....some shaky moments after some glorious footie.
4. Rafa confident we are ok for the season (at least until the January window)

How's everyone doing?

Yes, New Orleans is in a bad way.  However, George W Bush has just announced that there is to be a charity concert in aid of people made homeless by the hurricane.  Oasis, Kaiser Chiefs, James Blunt and U2 have confirmed that they will perform.  However, Katrina and the Waves have not been invited!

thanks a lot for the constructive links, much appreciated.

I had no idea Warnock had broken his leg 3 times already....how unlucky can you get and how determined must he have been to reach the top level? Impressive.

Looks like the general story of Rafas summer is he wasn't prepared/able to spend the money he needed to.
