I've always liked Sakho but for me don't think he is up there with the very best in the league...yet. BR never really fancied him and this has obviously held his progress back. He has weaknesses to his game but I'm hoping by consistently playing he can strengthen his weak areas and end up becoming one of the best in the league.

BR splashed big bucks on Lovren so in order to justify that Lovren was given a perm role in defense, regardless of how bad he played.
If BR was still here Sakho would never have developed his game.

Lets not talk about that f**king fraud anymore. That idiot held up the progress of this club (and players like Ibe, Markovic, Lucas, Sakho, Moreno...etc) so as to justify his transfer targets.

Left in a knee brace and on crutches. Looked horrible, but he could still run. Maybe only and MCL tear and 2-3 weeks. Didn't look like and ACL which is good news.

Good grief, if that is true, that's three players out to ACL injuries in a season. He was coming into form to just like Ings. Talk about bad luck

Gutted for him, fair dues to the fella for trying to continue even though he had a serious injury. I'm f**king fed up of these people saying we need more English or scouse players in the team and I say that as a scouser. What we really need is more players who 'get' the club like Sakho and Agger. A few years ago when everyone was bailing out of Anfield left right and centre Danny's answer to interest from Barcelona was to state in the press that he didn't want to leave Liverpool and to reiterate the point he got YNWA tattooed across his knuckles, now here's Sakho trying to run off an injury that has finished players careers in the past, he must have been in agony but wild horses weren't going to drag him off that pitch.
Proper liverpool players the pair of them.

Thought he was getting his Scan this evening....I don't understand why he was allowed to return after his initial knock.

Just speculation, nothing has been confirmed and he'll have his scan this afternoon.

Fingers crossed...

Scan has shown it is not ACL

Mamadou Sakho has been told he hasn't suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury – but the Liverpool defender is still facing a spell on the sidelines.

A scan on Monday afternoon eased fears that the France international's season could be over after he limped out of Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield.

However, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has yet to discover exactly how long he will be without the in-form centre-back.

That will become clearer on Tuesday when Sakho sees a consultant on Merseyside who will diagnose the full extent of the injury and determine how best to treat it.

That's great news, made up for the fella, obviously you'd imagine he's still going to have to face a decent spell on the sidelines but at least it's not a cruciate job which can take up to 2 or 3 years for a player to properly recover from.

Depending on the actual damage to the joint, he could be anywhere from 2-10 weeks. All depends on cartilage issues as well.

If his out for 2 month then i'd say were pretty much screwed in defense. Lovren-Skertel CB pairing is a recipe for disaster.
I think someone has done some major voodoo on us. The amount of injuries were getting hit with is crazy.
