yeah damn right  :buttrock adriano is probably the best striker in world football right now, he has an amazing shot on him! he can hit the ball so hard yet so accuratly and usually with curl all at the same time, some of his goals are truly breathtaking  :bowdown

Who needs a right foot when he's got a left peg like that, never seen a more powerful stiker of the ball. Patrick Berger or Hitzlsberger might come close though.

I would like to amend mine quite drastically as I am no longer so young and foolish. So here is the revised The Ace1983 XI:

                          Cech
  Puyol                                    Heinze
              Carragher     Terry
                         Gerrard
     Ronaldhino        Kaka          Pires
                 Owen        Adriano

Subs: Kahn, Samuel, Lampard, Eto'o, Henry, Shevcenko and Dudek.

I know that the subs bench looks a bit stupid, but it's just a bit of fun and I feel that all the strikers can be swapped around.

P.s. Bring Dudek on for Penalties.

                              Buffon
Puyol           Nesta             Ayala          Carlos

                 Zidane            Gerrard
Joaquin                                              Vicente

                          Ronaldinho

                            Ronaldo

RB was an area of a little concern, Cafu would be good of course but he is getting on a bit :) Right wing I think Aimar or Nedved could be shifted a bit out of position but I like the look of Joaquin a lot.

ok plenty has changed in a year, players in and out so here's my review of the world's finest.

                     Cech
Cafu   Cannavaro   Carragher  Cole
        Lampard   Kaka   Deco
                   Ronaldinho
             Henry    Shevchenko

Tough team to call, a lot of players especially Adriano and Joaquin don't deserve to miss out but do due to the formation. Carragher was the last name down, he's had an amazing season and won the CL but he's there on form rather than just class. I think in a top season Puyol, Nesta, Ferdinand could push him for it.

               Kaka            Ronaldinho

                             Shevchenko
