That's a lot of tackling for Stevie to do, but we'd scare most people to death with that line up as there's l bit of everything there. Pace (philips) Power (Stevie G) with plenty of tricks and guile from Harry and Alonso, It gets my vote Titi.

i cant really argue with rafas decision to try and get rid of murphy to bring in a player like xabi alonso but what i am unhappy about is the way he has praised dannys pre season performances and his ability to link up with the strikers. we read these comments and it is very misleading. still have complete faith tho

How good is Alonso? Ive never seen him play.
Ive heard he holds onto the ball well and is good on the ball, but defensive! so is he.....another hamann?
im expecting alonso's signing, and another midfielder within 2 weeks, due to the departure and injury of Smicer, Murphy,Diouf, La Tallec, Cheyrou etc.
