Why is this thread even up here. Somebody take it of. Riise is one our most consistent performers and loves the club. Shut this thread down. Whoever started this thread gives new meaning to the word knob head.

he was in my opinion the best player rafa signed last season.
followed by garcia.
the man has talent. he can pass the ball with pin-point accuracy and makes it look easy. xabi is player for the future considering he is only 23 years old now!

I rate Riise and I wouldn't sell him, but I have to say that I predict now that he will not make as many appearances this season as last

We now have more options for left mid with Zenden and then Gonzalez when he gets fit, (dare I say Kewell as well...)

I also expect Warnock to feature a lot more this season at left back, I think he has the potential to be a top, top full back. Then theres Djimi who has been given a new contract, so he's obviously in Rafa's plans also

Several questions arise. 1. Why would you sell Riise? He's not only powerful and fast, but he's versatile, sharp and one of the top left siders in the league. 2. Despite bing so highly rated, he wouldn't command much of a transfer fee so what's the point in financial terms? 3. He can score goals and win matches so what's the point of letting him go?

So, is Riise going? No.

No, Riise won't go, but its getting congested on the left if you ask me.

There's Traore, Warnock, Riise, Zenden and Gonzalez who all play there.

Oh, and there's a chap called Harry too.

warnock won't really get a game in, although i think his better than traore.
gonzalez is injured for a while and is only on loan.
kewell, i can see when coming back, only playing in that "supporting the striker" role.
and zenden and riise can rotate between them.
as rafa would say......."it gives us more possibilities"
