I agree, St Mick. I reckon Xabi Alonso will be captain in the future if Stevie leave Liverpool. But to be fair, it should be Jamie Carragher, like you said before, mate.

Yeah i read that somewhere too, but i do believe Pelle said that it would be for one game, not for the club captaincy. Might be in a game like Carling Cup next year, to bring up the youngsters with Pelle, cosidering he was brought in for the type of winning mentality that comes with being a senior player. Gerrard hasn't been there..................yet!
It would be good for the younglings to learn from Pelle, he's got a good head on his shoulders, and if you see him closely in a few games, he is always chatting to players on the field about stuff, so, it would be a good idea. (I did notice that in the Man Utd game)

Really, i didn't know he did even speak English to LFC players last week against The Scums!
Maybe he used sign language so that why LFC players understand him!!

I think, like you do Dawson, that Carra is an alternative as a central mid. We seem a bit short of creativity in our offencive game though. I`m sure that both Baros (if he`s fit) and Morientes will be an outstanding pairing up front, but after all they are dependant on being served with "the right" passes from behind. I`ve got my fingers crossed in hope of seeing some magic from Garcia again.
Dudek / Carson
Josemi Pellegrino Hyypia Warnock
Garcia Carra Hamann Riise
Baros Morientes

Nunez starts three game ban
Story by Al Campbell 21 January 2005
Antonio Nunez will miss Liverpool's visit to Southampton as he begins a three match ban.
Nunez received a straight red card in the FA cup defeat at Burnley and under the new fast-track regulations of the FA his ban will start immediately.
Besides the visit to Southampton, Nunez is also suspended for the Carling Cup semi-final second leg at Watford and the Premiership trip to Charlton.
