Everton are kicking up a ruckus that we being allowed into the competition will "cost them millions" because the money is split on a national basis.

Funny, I would have thought losing home and away to Partizan Belgrade in the qualifier next August would cost the bitters millions.

My mistake then. :D

Actually, I'm prepared to wager 10 quid with anyone here that wants to take it that Everton will not qualify for the group stages.  :buttrock

When did the bitters last play in Europe and remind me, how far did they go?

I estimate it was in 1995 in the Cup Winners Cup and I'm almost certain they were knocked out early (by a Dutch side?)

Most East European clubs in the qualifiers would eat the bitters alive.

Here's a song I found RAWK, dedicated to the bitter BS.

Oh Bitterness, Bitterness
The only thing the blues possess,
I thank the lord that I've been blessed,
with none of the blueshite bitterness...

To me this world is a wonderful place,
A red and white glow all over my face,
I feel so good to be alive,
european cups, oh we've got five....

Ahhhh Bitterness, Bitterness,
The only thing the blues possess

The bitters were living in a land of dreams
"you'll lose if you ever face a decent team"
But Juventus, Chelsea and Milan tried
And they couldn't beat us so the blueshite cried

Wooh Bitterness, bitterness
The only thing that we possess
If it wasn't for Heysel we'd be mighty blessed
But all we've got left is bitterness.

:D  :D

Your on £10 it is

But for me the best scenario is we draw them in the qualifiers and wreck their season before it starts

How I would love it if they had to play Dinamo Zagreb or Hajduk Split. Not only would they end the BS but they would make me feel proud seeing fellow Croats running over Nevertonians. :D
