Vignal looking promising for Gers... Should we keep him?

He's now a 1st pick at Rangers and scored yesterday at Celtic albeit a dodgy goal... He does look like a good player and would be good cover at the very least. Opinions?

He's far better than Traore and in general a good player.

But he's gone now unfortunately. Good signing for Rangers.

Sell him to them and with that money can invest on other better players .

i've just read on ceefax that we're letting him sign for Rangers for nothing in the summer, am I missing something here?

Tara never got a chance to see him much but hes more or less left the club now I think.
Rangers' on-loan defender Gregory Vignal has revealed that Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has told him he can leave in the summer on a free transfer.

Vignal told the Scotsman: "I went to Liverpool last Wednesday to see the coach Rafael Benitez and he told me I will get a free transfer at the end of the season.

"I have to wait and see what happens, but I am happy here and Rangers are my priority. Next season, I want to play in the Champions League. My agent is close to the chairman and manager at Rangers and will come here soon to see about my situation."

free transfer is better than paynig wages for someone who wont play for us.

Vignal isn't playing well for Gers at all. He got the headlines because he scored a fluke goal (goalkeeping error) in the old firm game.

Having watched a lot of Scottich football this year I can tell you that Vignal would not cut it in the premiership for us.

Get rid of him

Agree with you, it was shame that Vignal didn't get any chances at Anfield much now.

Rangers are taking Vignal off our hands for nothin'
And Vignal was one of the most saleable assets from the Houllier poo-bin. Him being EU citizen, pretty young and a decent lad.

Imagine how much we will get for Diao and Biscan if Vignal got us ZERO. We will have to PAY someone to take them. That's friggin great. First we pay £ 5,5 million pounds when we sign Biscan't, then we pay him £ 1,5 million pounds in wages for 4 years (total £ 6 mill) , then we might have to pay £ 0,5 million to get rid of him. Great business.

And this applies for Cheyrou, Kirkland, Diao and some other punks as well.

i thought vignal was meant to one of the players we were meant to make money on, shame really. i think rafa has got big plans for the summer, he needs to scare the players into playing well, by getting rid of load of underperformers
