Nunez - Man of the match

Nunez, very much understated, gets on with the game causing pain for the opposition, stretching them down the right.
Was unlucky to have two shots cleared off the line and would have had a goal except for the hand-ball.

i wouldn't say he was man of the match, but it was deffo his best game for us so far - in my view. he worked hard, took people on, picked out some nice passes and crosses and even had a couple of attempts at goal. looking good for nunez if he keeps on like this.

but, of course, i have to say - because i can't help it...

it was against 10 of the bottom club.... :)

seems like a squad player at best.  Then again the lad needs more time so I reserve my judment for now.

i think we need him to provide that kind of average performance to let us climb forword... seriously.. if u wan an all star team , with all the players playing brilliantly , it is nv possible... we need players like nunez,( squad  players) to perform consistently, by sending in gd crosses.. and some special players like gerrard, baros, or alonso to provide that special winning touch... we cant expect everyone to give the winning touch all the time..

yeh. nunez played really well today, although he dooesn't do any flashy dribbling like cristiano ronaldo he trys really hard and gets some good crosses in and headers well.

he's getting more confident on the ball and sloting along in the team more, a better option then finnan because he has the feet to create more space and go past people.

Nunez is the quintessential 'Quiet Man' just get's on with it.
Get's fouled, just picks himself up and beats his man., next time. Always available to run on to a pass, but at the same time challenging back and then making himself available for a return ball.
The thinking fan's player !!

By far his best performance yesterday. Looked like a true right winger. Some of his control when recieving long balls was staggering. Seems to be able to beat a player as well. I would like to see more accurate passes and a few goals but he is starting to look like a real prospect.

.. it is inevitabe that new players will take time to settle... and it cud not have been grt for his confidence to get injured before kicking a ball in earnest.... even during his naff games .. he showed glimpses of quality touches which gave a glimmer of hope for the future... lets hope he shines.. :)

he is improving with every game and is surprisingly good in the air for a fancy dan foreigner.
but.....for me he lacks genuine pace, i dont think many fullbacks in the league will be having sleepless nights over him.
but again he`s only just starting to find his feet and even thierry henry looked ****** for best part of his first season.
makeweights in deals never inspire me though.

He's too tentative for my liking, and always looks to pass the ball backwards.

He needs to get his confidence up. Benitez bought him for a reason, so he needs to start believing in himself.

I'm sure he'll work out for us, but he's got some settling to do.
