Liverpool midfielder Salif Diao has hinted he could quit Anfield in January.
The Senegalese international is unhappy with his lack of first team chances this season.
Diao made a rare starting appearance, scoring in the 3-0 Carling Cup win over Millwall to boost his first team chances.
The former Sedan man has now set himself a deadline to establish himself as a regular or he may have to consider moving on.
"I've given myself until Christmas to make an impact," said Diao.
"I want to be playing regularly and that's been my objective since the start of the season. If things do not work out, I will have to look at other possibilities.
"We become footballers because we want to play, not because we enjoy training every day.
"I've had some teams interested in me during my Liverpool career but I have never thought about those because I want to succeed here.
"Only when it is clear to me that isn't going to happen will I look at my alternatives."
