Just seen Emlyn Hughes on a news item on T.V he was attending a cancer fund raising event. He looked in a very bad way with his brain tumor. My thoughts go out to him and his family. He was a great servant to the club in my opinion.

Well said, Jan.  Emlyn was a great player for us, whether in defence or midfield and scored some memorable goals.  He played with great heart and drive and inspired others and always gave his all for the team.
Good luck Emlyn.  You're a fighter.

Its sad, but an unfortunate fact of life.

My old fella has told me plenty of tales of crazy horse going mad after scoring, and doing ten laps before the restart.

Hop he is well soon.

Hughes was a bit before my time but his legend at the club is plain for all to see.

Best wishes.  :)

Enlyn was a born leader on and off the pitch and you could even see then that this rubbed off to the other players,as someone has already mentioned when Emlyn scored a goal he went fecking mental, hence the nickname.
Best wishes Emlyn and my prayers are with you.

i read a review of the event in this weeks lfc magazine. i didn't know that emlyn was also partially blind as well as having cancer. all in all, the event raised £23,000 pounds which was a great success. :)

I remember Emlyn Hughes, he was a great captain. I am sorry  to hear of his illness and I hope he comes through it. :(
