Three years - Rafael revolution

Rafael Benitez is hoping to mould his Liverpool squad into Premiership champions inside the next three years.
The Reds manager isn't ruling out the possibility of repeating his success at Valencia where he won the league in his first season at the Mestalla, but he believes a more realistic target would be to target the title in three years time.

"If we work then we can achieve the success we want," he said. "I am here to win trophies and I hope that I will be given the time. In two or three years we want to have achieved the balance in the squad that we need.

"Every coach asks for time and there are things we need to do. But we hope that we can find the balance to move towards the title in the next three years. We have a very strong attack and a good defence and midfield.

"Now we have to look at the players who will strengthen that. It is not about how much money we spend but how well we spend i

I am genuinely impressed with Rafael Benitez and his honest summary of the task in front of him is enlightening .
I really cant wait to see how we shape up under his knowledgeable guidance  and the importance he places on simply playing as a team only serves to  inspire .

I seriously have butterflies waiting for this season to commence and that is mainly due to the type of football Benitez has promised to deliver
  :D    :D  :grinning:  :grinning:

I'm looking forward to the new season too, pretty much feel like this most season's.

The Optimist in pretty much ALL footie fans is epidemic but there seems to be a new optimism. My one wish is we get behind the team and the backroom staff and not moan our way through the season and get on the teams' back..........

Another wish would be to see some entertaining and exciting football particularly when we go a goal up instead of retreating into our own penalty box and inviting teams onto us ......???

Here's to the brave new Benitez World

:D

Why always 3 years or longer? bloody heck at this rate we might all be brown bread before we pick up the league again. :D  :D hope not though don't want the scumers taking our record, hell they are already to close for comfort.

We made it as far as November the season before last until we went to Boro on an unbeaten run and played Owen up front on his own ???  Whats that all about !!!!!!! :D  Remember Dudek spooned one from a  cross and Southgate slipped and fell on the ball forcing it into the net .........

This Season Its going to be Christmas before we get beat , I'm telling you !!
