Couldn't see Daggers thread. I hear he was named vice-captain today. I hope it's true.

Yeah, same report. An effort to discourage Barca and secure Danny's loyalty?

Do people really rate Agger that highly? I've never been convinced.
Would be nice to have Hyypia on a retainer to find his protege somewhere in Europe..

Barce need a CB and its either Agger or Luiz - if that figure creeps towards £20mil and over and that could get interesting - certainly test Aggers resolve

£25m... If he wasn't the legend that he is in this club then I would consider it because £25m is a lot of money considering his ability (IMO he's not THAT good) and age. But I can't imagine this club without a few players and Agger is on that list. IMO we shouldn't be looking to sell our senior players because there are very few of them, no matter how tempting the offer may be.

Considering his age and how he has performed on the pitch I'd take the money and run if 20+ million was offered.

Word. He's a classy player in which I've always admired how comfortable he is in taking the ball out of defence to mount attacks rather than just hoofing it.

In all honesty though, £25,000,000 (approx) plus the potential £50,000,000 we could get from the eventual Suarez deal provides a good opportunity for potentially three top class signings. Two out, three in. If it happens though, I guess Skrtel will be staying then.

£25mil wouldn't be turned down but I can't see it being offered as well

What other CB that is better than Agger would come to us? 25m or more means nothing if we can't replace him. We shouldn't be selling our best players if we don't have to, no matter the price.
