Neil mellor - Will he make the grade?

i've watched this guy develop for about a year now. he scored two quality goals for the reserves in a 2-2 draw against bolton last night. a game in which traore was absolutely sh#te by the way (what's new?)
i just wandered what you're opinions are on him. should we loan him out again to gain first team experience? he scored a goal on his first full start for the first team against sheff utd if i recall. i think he has a lot of potential.

I believe he will rapidly progress, as well as Pongolle and Baros.
The key is: Just get Heskey off from GH sight.

The lad is at the right level for his experience right now, the reserves. He will definetly make the grade with some training, and who better than Rushie to have as your mentor?

yeah i agree just get rid of heskey though! all of our other strikers can score goals when given the chance, but not heskey!

Can i ask, where was Traore playing the other night? Ive seen him at right back and he was dismal but i think he could be a good CB if he was given proper coaching. As for Neil Mellor, he looked good for us then went to West Ham where he wasnt given a chance and i havent really seen enough of him. He does look like Stevey G tho so we should keep him

traore (or bambi on ice) was playing left back. he scored an og and generally had a nightmare. get rid. not good enough.

mellor always looked to sloppy on the ball from what ive seen of him,plus he couldnt even get in the west hame side, but who knows, hes got an excellent scoring record for the reserves, deserves another chance probably.
