a little over 10 minutes until the fixture list for the new season comes out.

to be honest i'd take anybody at home. we seem to always be away on the first day in recent years so we're due a home fixture. also, if sky are listening, not a bloody 12.45 kick off either.

oh, and look out for mega breakdown super grand slam sunday with the top four playing each other on the same day (coincidentally of course). :D

Liverpool will kick-off the 2008-09 Barclays Premier League campaign with an away trip to Roy Keane's Sunderland.
The game at the Stadium of Light will take place on August 16 when the Reds will be looking for a similar performance to the one which gave them a 2-0 victory in the corresponding fixture last season.

Middlesbrough are the first visitors to Anfield the following weekend with Manchester United arriving on Merseyside in mid-September.

The first derby of the season takes place at Goodison Park on September 27 with the Anfield fixture on January 17.

Im happy with that,we have 2 pretty easy games(on paper):D to start
Then we have Villa and Martin O'Neill hates LFC now so he will have them well fired up which in due course will be a little tougher than the 1st 2 and get us into shape to beat the Mancs!Oh yeah!

Overall though the big games for us are well spread out and it does not look as if we have any really tough spells of 3 or 4 stinkers together!
Im happy enough with that and especially the run in,if we are chasing at the end we will have a chance!
Bottom line is though we have to play them all twice in some sort of order!
Expect 2 or 3 to be changed to suit Sky Sports! :D

If we draw away against Sunderland in the opening you will have people claiming we are out of the title race.
