last game of the season but it's still be nice to go out with a bang. hopefully Crouch will get a game to say thanks for the memories.

although White Harte Lane isn't one of our favoured grounds, I still think we'll win 2-1. Crouch with both (hopefully)

I rarely do predictions but for some reason, 4-0 to us feels right.  I'll say goals for Kuyt (yes, Kuyt), Babel and Torres to score a brace to eclipse RVN's debut season record and to pass Adebayor in the league scoring table (not quite sure even our Fernando has it in him to overhaul Ronaldo :D ). :buttrock

Aurelio is back in training same with Agger but it would be very dumb to even think about them. I think Insua is probably our best option on the left right now (its between him and arbeloa).  I would play Plessis over Mascherano, he is going to need the practice if Mascherano wants to play in the olympics, and if Plessis plays well, maybe Mascherano will feel pressure and decide he needs to be in training to make sure Plessis doesn't take his sport or become a viable option.  Finnan at RB for me, but I would at least think about Darby, he has played great all year, mistake free footy PLUS great leadership in the back.  Carra and Hyypia at the back with San Jose (or Hobbs or Antwi) on the bench.   Its Alonso over Lucas for me.  Stevie and Torres are obvious. And I would be VERY tempted to throw in Hammill and Anderson in the Babel and Kuyt roles if in fact they are back training (don't see why they wouldn't be) and are fit to play.  Nemeth and Pacheco certainly are in the back of my head for slots on the bench.

Good chance of Rafa picking them but they don't get a rise out of me at ALL for this game: Yossi, Arbeloa, Voronin, Crouch, Pennant (and I Like Pennant), Riise, Lucas, Kewell, Skrtel, Kuyt

If loan players ARE available:
                                 Reina
  Darby          Carra                Hobbs        Insua
                 Plessis                    Alonso
  Anderson                  Gerrard             Hammill
                                 Torres
Bench: Bouzanis, Antwi, Threlfall, Nemeth, Pacheco

Loan players are NOT available:
                                Reina
  Darby           Carra               Hyypia    Insua
                    Plessis              Alonso
         El Zhar             Gerrard        Babel
                               Torres
Bench: Martin, San Jose, Pacheco, Nemeth, Lindfield

I'd go with the same team that we had against Man City, but I'd have Nemeth and Plessis on the bench.

nice thought mate, i would be sad to see crouchy leave
but if it happens what a fantastic way to go out!
(i wonder what odds you would get for crouch to score)
the first goal let alone 2, hey i might even have a bet on
him to score a hat-trick!! what ever happens with crouchy
i just hope we end the season on a high! whoever is picked
give a good account of themselves, a good perforfance
& 3 points is what i want to see!

                          come on red men!!!

Are you sure its coffee mate? :D  Anyway I dont think Rafa will play any ressies that we havnt already seen. Number of times ive mentioned Nemeth and Spearing etc gettin a game and they never do so id go for somethin like last week against Citeh, with maybe Plessis starting. 2-0 us.

Anyone going? I've been invited to an executive box for the day. I'm desperately hoping we don't field an under-strength side.

Let's play Crouch, get him used to playing at WHL and then do a straight swap with Berbatov coming the other way.

Anyone going to suggest this game isn't meaningless? If we lose will it be down to boardroom shenanigans? If we win will it be in spite of the same?

The only thing left to play for is a goal for El Torro, send the horse's previous record to the knackers yard and WITHOUT the assistance of a single penalty.
