This one should be a walk in the park.  It's also an excellent chance for Kuyt to regain some of his goalscoring form.

I'd want to see this team on Saturday...

                Reina
  Finnan,Skrtel,Carra,Aurelio
Benayoun,Alonso,Lucas,Babel
           Kuyt,Nemeth

Reina won't play, as Intandje has been the keeper for all cup games (except Champions League ??? you sure Benitez doesn't favour that competition)

Intandje
Finnan, Carra, Skrtel, Riise
Pennant, Gerrard, Lucas, Benayoun
Crouch, Babel

We have to go and win this game as the FA Cup is our most realistic trophy to win this year. I wouldn't risk Torres back for this game (maybe half hour off the bench) At Anfield so we're going to do be doing most of the pressing, so Mascheranho isn't going to be that useful in this game. He wouldn't create what Gerrard/Lucas could. Babel and Benayoun can inter-change.

2-0 because I don't think we're in good enough form to go and blow them away. Lucas with another screamer, and a John Arne Riise rocket to set him off for the season.

This team should not be able to beat us.  I would go for the ole mixed bag approach:
                          Itandje
Finnan      Carra           Skrtel      Insua
Pennant    Gerrard        Lucas       Kewell
              Crouch         Babel
Subs: Martin, San Jose, Spearing, Yossi, Nemeth

Can't afford to take any of our cup games too lightly, and even with Inter coming up I don't think we will see too many gambles being taken.

                        Itandje
Finnan        Skrtel          Carra       Riise

Pennant       Alonso      Lucas        Kewell

                    Benayoun
                           Crouch

Should be good enough for a 3-0 win

With inter coming coming rafa will play his strongest team here and will bot rotate much for it

                                             Itandje

Finnan                                    Skrtel               Carra                   Riise

Yossi                                     Alonso               Masch                 Kewell
                                                          Gerrard
                                           Kuyt

4-5-1 Formation with gerrard playing off kuyt , expect a 3-0 win , 2 from kuyt and Riise thunderbolt

Do you mean you will be angry if we only win the game 1-0/2-1/2-0 and slightly pleased if the scoreline is greater.

Cup tie, doesn't matter how much we win by as long as we advance, but it would be nice to be 3-0 up at half so we can put on some younger subs

Would love to see Torres, Babel and Gerrard come off the bench in the second half and tear a tired Barnsley apart.

Great news also Agger is back in full training

Return of key quartet gives Liverpool FA Cup tonicFeb 14 2008

by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo

RAFA BENITEZ has been given a major boost as Liverpool head into one of the most crucial weeks of their season.

Injured quartet Fernando Torres, Fabio Aurelio, Sami Hyypia and Alvaro Arbeloa have all returned to training and are in contention for a starting place against Barnsley in the FA Cup on Saturday.

With a crunch Champions League tie with Inter Milan and a Premier League game with Middlesbrough to follow, Benitez is delighted to have four of his senior squad members back.

"I need to consider both games but I know it's important to progress in the FA Cup, so I will try to use a strong team,” said the Reds boss.
"Sami Hyypia is improving. He did the warm up and could be available, but we will have to analyse the situation. Torres also did the warm up, as well as Fabio Aurelio and Alvaro Arbeloa , and they are really close.

"Now it is about whether we will take the risk or not.

"For Inter, Torres will be okay. We will have to check before Barnsley."
Torres’ return, in particular, is a major boost as the Spanish striker has made a quicker than expected comeback from a minor hamstring injury sustained on international duty with Spain.

Aurelio, Arbeloa and Hyypia have also recovered from the minor injuries which kept them out of Liverpool’s goalless draw with Chelsea at the weekend and will come into contention for places in Benitez’s starting line-up for this Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round tie at Anfield.

And with long-term injury victim Daniel Agger now back in full training, Benitez will be delighted to see his squad strength bolstered at such an important stage of the season.
