We had a good display against Blackburn but just wasnt finishing the chances we was creating. The defending was sloppy against Blackburn so this needs to be put right against Spurs.

Steven Gerrard Without a doubt for me is our key player and his position is more important then anyone elses tha he plays in the correct one, which for me is central midfeild. Pennant who was impressive against Watford and then was dropped the last game for me should be recalled in our rw position.

Another away game so i would side against Garcia and play Gonzales at lw and Alonso to partner Gerrard in the centre. Defence we must get it spot on. And for me we should start Finnan Carragher Agger Riise. Fu.ck the rotation we need to start our best team week in week out. So Bellamy and Kuyt Upfront. Their Partnership was working so well and there was no need to change them. So These two upfront.

Spurs are sitting 7th us at 6th if they get all 3 points were level on points with them. A win for us is needed Bolton are facing portsmouth weekend so really a win would make us move up atleast 1 place.

My Team

Reina

Finnan
Carragher
Agger
Riise

Pennant
Gerrard
Alonso
Gonzales

Kuyt
Bellamy               2-0 Gerrard and Kuyt

Come on you reds

Defoe will cause Hyypia problems which is why I would play Agger instead.

Berbatov or Mido can cause agger some problems in the air.

I don't know who start in the defence, but i would rather see finnan switch to right back this time.

We will have our work cut out to get anything at Spurs. They are terrific at the Lane.

The way Defoe is playing he will take some stopping but I guess Agger is favourite to start.

Got to be honest and say I dont fancy us that much but perhaps we could hold out for a draw. I am hoping to be proven very wrong.

Spurs have impressed me with their football at home and as our erratic away performances continue its diffuclut to feel confident in any away game let alone one against a formidable opponent on home soil.

Oh well we live in hope!  :)

I think it will be a draw. Just like last year and the year before that.

Tough game. I'd go with the same system we used against Blackburn.

Nothing wrong with the system - just the finishing.

Kuyt in for Crouch and we're well away.

Indeed Kuyt better to start and use Crouch as sub
Kuyt as a sub is useless
3-1 to LFC

Dreading this game and the one against Bolton cant believe we threw the chance away to stay 3rd, now we are 6th its feckin awful, not good enough.

Agreed ciggy, we need to be better at finishing, maybe getting one of those navigation system to pinpoint the goal would do the trick.  :D

start kuyt and bellamy upfront, garcia for RM

then we might have pure attacking formation

My only worries if our back four. We need somebody strong (like henchoz strong) in the middle to contain berbatov and defoe. Hyypia is strong but lacks pace, agger is agile but lacking in brute character.

Gerrard in centre back? ????

We're 2 points behind 3rd place, it's not like we're 10 points behind. That just sums up the lack of quality in the Premiership when places 3rd to at least 9th are only three or four points away from one another.

Arsenal - 36
Bolton - 36
Portsmouth - 35
Liverpool - 34

Not that big of a difference now is it with 18 games to be played?

The league this year is poor, no doubt about that.
