Who's Maxwell btw?
I would love to see Baraja at Anfield. Ever since Valencia taught us a footballing lesson home & away a few years back I've followed what he's been up to and he is just pure brilliance. If Gerrard goes then he is the ultimate replacement, in fact he is better than Gerrard full stop. Imagine Baraja and Alonso in midfield?

Baraja is about 31 isn't he? Quality, but too old. Maxwell is the Brazilian left back at Ajax...I think Chelski have been after him until he got a season ending injury.

Yeah I think Baraja is 30, but still has 2-3 years at the top of his game I reckon. Just look at Keane at ManU

luvin this team A.B, now thats a dream team and its even better cos we could realistically sign them players if we are lucky, makes my mouth water, challenging for much higher in the league with that team

Deal is already done and dusted according to some newspapers.
If Benitez can persuede Alonso to turn down Real Madrid and join us then he can persuede Reina to leave Villareal.
