anyone heard this one today? apparently according to this article we offered carroll as a straight swap for tevez.

i'm kind of hoping its true for the sheer audacity of it. despite the fact that its effectively swapping one player who can't play for another who won't want to. sounds like bajollocks though...

If this is true then it tells us two things.

1. We are looking to get rid of Carroll
2. We are looking to sign a forward before Tuesday

I don't believe its true and besides there is no way we could afford Tevez's wages.

Isn't the guardian a relatively reliable source? This is a bit too shocking really.

Might be on my own here but YES PLEASE!
I can see why people wouldn't want him at the club, but boy can he play!

Imagine a front three of Bellers, Suarez and Tevez!!!!

Was just on SSN too.. so it must be true! :p But just to keep it going, they also said Tevez is not interested in a move to LFC.

But assuming it was true, if we were looking for someone else, it shows bad judgment on our part to leave it to the last minute.

it's got to be bollox

Tevez isnt in England and clearly doesnt want to live in the country and his wages are atupid. Though I reckon we'd be fining him more than paying him...

The story may be true and its certainly could have been fed to the newspaper to alert clubs that Carrol is available for transfer on the eve of the window closing.

This kind of article happens for a reason whether that be in Liverpools or the players personal interest.

I personally think they would like to offload the lad after what has clearly been a very dissapointing year at the club for the player and in terms of what hes served up for his employers.

Decent bid or deal on the table and he will be away.
