Haven't seen a full back that is well balanced like Robertson for quite some time... He is defensively alot better than TAA.

Does everything we would want from one of our full backs.
Defensively aware but takes every opportunity to get forward and contribute (significantly) to the attack.
For me the fella is our nailed on LB for some time to come

Not afraid to get forward, put crosses in and is half decent defending.
Good stuff.
Ps. Was it Klopp or our scouting network that plucked Robertson out of obscurity from Hull City? I was just wondering how he came onto klopps radar.

Personally, I think Klopp knows the type of player he is seeking and is very good at relating this to his scouting team.
Which would lead to a higher probability of finding the right players

Posted: Fri Aug 10, 2018 1:05 pmI’ll admit I had my doubts on Robbo and thought he was a stopgap until the next window when we’d replace Moreno with a first choice LB and he’d play second fiddle. But once in the team he got better and better as the season went on and proved to be pretty strong at both ends of the fields and has nailed down the LB spot for the foreseeable future.
