Agree with the general consensus, the type of players we should be looking at are Lemar, Upamecano, VVD, Goretzka etc, not players looking for a cushy retirement home.

Robertson gave an interview while away with Scotland.

“Of course it’s difficult for me,” Robertson told journalists while off on duty with Scotland. “I don’t make any secret of it. I hate not playing. It’s been a very frustrating three months for me. I was looking forward to the Holland game to get some game time and I’m delighted to have got 90 minutes.”

“I was a bit rusty and it probably caught up with me in the last 20 minutes, but that’s something I’ve got to look at,” the left back added. “I know need to get more game time. I’ve spoken to the manager because I felt as if the settling-in period was over for me and I thought I was ready to play.

“I felt I did myself justice in the games I have played so I had a good chat with him, he gave me a few points to work on and that’s kept me going. I know I’m still well in his plans and, if I work on the things he’s asked me to, then, hopefully, I’ll be in the first team, or closer to it.”

Hands down this lad is a far better player than Moreno and if he is sent out on loan he will prove it. I have read from a few journo's now that he isn't versatile enough for Klopp as he is only suited to LB  :;): Maybe so but is that not what we wanted or needed in the first place. When given his chance he has performed well and certainly doesn't look out of place in our 11 so why has he been sitting in the stands every week. A few years ago we were going around claiming that we were the best place for youth to develop but seems like anyone with at least one working eye can see that is clearly not the case.

Klopp should give him more opportunities he is a good LB and deserves game time.
With the hectic fixtures coming up i would like to see him feature.

Yeah it is a strange one that, the lad has near enough been MoM every time he's played for us.
Apparently Moreno is pretty close to Coutinho, maybe the club are trying to keep Phil happy by having his bessie in the team beside him?

Can will have plenty of options when the time comes. He is a decent enough player on a free so plenty will be interested and if the situation was reversed we would be to  :nod

Under this current inflated market i wonder how much Aubameyang would cost.
Considering he will be 29 yrs old next June i don't think his price should be steep. Probably a team would get 3 good seasons out of him.

From "The Mirror"

Liverpool given green light for fresh Virgil van Dijk bid as Southampton admit he could be sold in January
The two clubs meet this weekend with Mauricio Pellegrino unable to promise the defender will still be a Saint in February
Saints' first-year boss Mauricio Pellegrino admitted on Thursday he could not guarantee Van Dijk will still be at the club when the January transfer window closes.
