benny, i know you hate it when people take what they read in the papers as gospel. so - just for the sake of this theoretical discussion - could you enlighten us as to where you got these stone cold facts from?

did mr and mrs tevez come round for tea?

Benny, you can still say kewell is a waste of money and yet defend Carroll to the hilt. Kewell = 4 millions, Carroll=35 millions. Some consistency is appreciated

Benny, I don't think anybody truly believes that Tevez would come to Liverpool - I'm pretty sure he's already quashed any possibility of that anyway.

In terms of ability and contribution, everybody would take Tevez over Carroll...

Then on the facts of their situations, Tevez is a nutter who you wouldn't want here. Simple

Apologies Andy .

I got it from the player himself when he was interviewed during the summer and he explained how his wife can't live in England - cant settle due to cultural problems and weather and reiterated by his agent when they were trying to sort out the Corinthians deal.

Carroll - 30 games

Kewell - 6 years and 140 games

I don't think Kewell was soo awesome myself but he was at least one of the key players for us in his first season, 11 goals for a winger is not too shabby. He contributed to the team... Whereas Carroll is just a liability... (He did well against the mancs but one sparrow summer kinda thing).
And Kewell played for us for 5 seasons not 6. The rate that Andy's going with the goals you wonder when he will meet Kewell's tally of 16 goals for us. Not to mention Carroll is worth 9 Kewells. We can buy 9 Kewells and ask them to contribute for 1 season only and we get 9 good seasons from a player...

this is true. but in subsequent interviews he has also said that he would stay in england if he can sort out some family issues, and that he knows he can see his daughters more 'afterwards' if necessary. basically... the book isn't closed and there are no stone cold facts. its highly unlikely he would stay and come and play for us of course, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss the theoretical ins and outs of the issue.

His agent said his family tried to settle and it didnt work and thats why he is now currently sitting in Brazil with his family.

Yes I think he has been in Brazil most of the time - every time they show pictures of him he is in Brazil. Do you really want to go tit for tat now ! I have clarified my points and provided back up and evidence like you asked.
