Far from the MOTM imo, but at least he had a pretty good match for once.

Chuffed for him. Big Andy putting in a proper shift and deserved his goal to cap off a tireless display.

LOL @ Kerry, but he/she is gutted for Carroll.

not my motm either.
a really decent performance from him tonight.he showed for everything and held it up when we were down to 10,he worked his socks off and he still stayed sharp to get himself up off the ground and back into position so he could head the winner at the death.
a work in progress.

Strong performance playing most of the game as a lone striker ,and he gained his reward for his sterling effort with a GOAL !!!!!

Worked really hard, won loads in the air and scored a goal. A real confidence boost.
Has to play against the bitters, would be livid if Kenny dropped him to the bench.

Yes. I noticed that too. 'It' went all quiet after the win and even more so after Carroll scored.

Great win last night! Really thought we had blown that but Carroll deserves a pat on the back. Coates needs to start more too.

Andy did alright against a sh.it awful team that looked like they had nine men on the pitch and we had eleven! Good to see him get a goal at long last! I still think he is intimidated by Suarez and they just don't work well together. No Suarez and we win with ten men. Ok I know the opposition were rubbish but it was still a strong performance with only ten men for the majority of the game. During Suarez's 9 game ban we won 6 lost 2 and had 1 draw. Take a look at our record since Suarez returned. It is woeful and frankly I haven't got a clue why because he is a great player who seems to have absolutely no luck.

yes Coates look good last night, not sure about his pace but that might game with playing a few more top games.

as for Carroll, he was great last night, run his legs off and was always a big danger.

That was probably the best game I've seen Andy play, his link up play was actually pretty good. Shame about his striking ability though, he missed one absolute sitter before getting the goal at the end which was more down to Agger's superb nod-on. I'm still far from convinced about him but he is showing signs of improvement maybe we'll get some of the £35 million back for him when he's sold in the summer.
