I don't mind Klavan as 4th choice CB to be honest. Was hoping we'd move on Moreno though, but I guess I won't mind keeping him as back up to Robertson.

Summer 2018..

Out:
Klavan
Mignolet
Moreno
Hendo
Can
Ings
Sturridge

In:
Keita
Fakir OR Jorginho OR Lemar OR Mahrez.
A decent CB
Goalkeeper
A decent back up striker.

Then we should be more or less there in terms of squad depth.

I would also send Solanke on loan and even Woodburn. I can't see either getting much game time.

Looks like Mahrez and Jorginho will become Man Citys whores for next season.

What I want to happen:
Out:
Migs
Klavan
Sturridge
Solanke
Ings
Origi
Moreno
Maybe Gomez out on loan
Lovren and Henderson are so unlikely with their wages

What WILL happen:

Out:
..........
Maybe 1 of them

Sturridge will probably go out on loan again and then leave on a free. Can't see anyone paying money for him, given his injury history. I think Migs might move on as well.

Mate in terms of quality the squad would be improved   :nod

BUT in terms of "Depth" unless I've got my maths wrong 7 out and 5 in means we'd have 2 less players ?  :p

Ha De Ha :D

I don't think all of the above mentioned will be shown the door. I meant literally we will have more in terms of "Quality", not numbers so we will far better off, have cover for midfield / attack with the likes of Fekir, who can play either and Keita has goals in him as well.

Jurgen is not a big transfer market manager, carefully selecting his signings, but there is still a bit of dead wood that needs shipping out.

Enjoy the cup final matey, going to be EPIC :buttrock

Yeah, reality will always disappoint. We won't get that much money for any of them and most will stay.

Very much depends on what players want from their careers. Danny Ings, for example, will struggle to get regular football and should move on. However, he might be happy to sit on the bench and be a bit part...which means we won't go anywhere. Same goes for Origi and Moreno.

Every year we talk about having a big summer but it never seems to happen for different reasons.

I'm proud of the team for last night but we need to be way more ruthless if we are going to go from constantly being runners up to winners.

Migs, Karius, Moreno, Can, Ings, Sturbridge, Origi all need to go.
Solanke to go on loan. Maybe one of Hendo or Gini also out.

Priority is a GK and preferably a new GK coach.
Also need more attacking talent with pace and a CM that can pass.

Need to open the wallet if we actually want to compete and win trophies instead of just being happy to be there.

I don’t see Klopp pushing the likes of Klavan, Moreno and Henderson out the door. If players want to leave that’s one thing but we should be keeping players who have made a contribution this year and are happy to stay. We need depth in the squad and we can't make 10 changes every window. I'm guessing those I have highlighted in red will either go out on loan or leave the club permanently. Gomez and Solanke could also go out on loan. I think the rest will stay and we'll add goalkeepers and attacking reinforcements.

We should be looking to move on quite a few but it isn't just as easy as that. For starters we don't seem to be able to sell players unless they are our top ones so moving the deadwood hasn't gone well for us in recent years. Loaning them isn't the answer either as they are just winding down their contracts till they go on a free. Our wage bill is also reported to be 250mil + so how much room is there to increase this with big earners (ie: top players).

I think we would be doing well if we sold Mignolet, Ings and Moreno. I would also try to offload Lallana(too many injuries) and Milner (age) so we can play the likes of Woodburn and Grujic instead.

I don't think we will bring in any defenders as he will roll with what he has and it could be good enough with a better midfield.

We do need to replace Migs but it has to be someone better so if we wont pay the Salah tax for Allisson or more on Oblak then I would move for Michel Vorm as I think he could be on a free. I don't think he is a bad keeper at all  :no its just that they have Lloris. At worst he would be a stopgap until one of the other two wind down their contracts a bit.

We have got to do something up front also. I don't see why he would bring Origi back because he pushed him out already. He needs to go and get a striker he trusts this year.

Everything we do is based around what we can afford and I know we had a good year with the extra CL revenue but that isn't guaranteed next year. I really doubt our nett spend is going to go from 25 odd to 4 times that.
