Magnificent buy at under 10m, imagine if we had taken Maguire from that relegated Hull team, the two for 20m ish.

Maguire and Van Dijk would do me  :nod

What a sweet cross for Salah's winner this game. The control and awareness was, dare I say, world class...

Haven't seen a full back that is well balanced like Robertson for quite some time... He is defensively alot better than TAA.

Exceptional signing !

Does everything we would want from one of our full backs.

Defensively aware but takes every opportunity to get forward and contribute (significantly) to the attack.

For me the fella is our nailed on LB for some time to come  :buttrock

Thought he was wasteful with the ball today with some really poor crosses but did well for the winner. Solid at the back.

Overall looks a bargain and another success for Klopp and the transfer committee.

He certainly doesn't look out of place, playing in our starting eleven.
Not afraid to get forward, put crosses in and is half decent defending.

Good stuff.

Ps. Was it Klopp or our scouting network that plucked Robertson out of obscurity from Hull City? I was just wondering how he came onto klopps radar.

Personally, I think Klopp knows the type of player he is seeking and is very good at relating this to his scouting team.
Which would lead to a higher probability of finding the right players

We should be glad we didn't get Chilwell because if we did don't think we would've gone for Robertson.

I’ll admit I had my doubts on Robbo and thought he was a stopgap until the next window when we’d replace Moreno with a first choice LB and he’d play second fiddle. But once in the team he got better and better as the season went on and proved to be pretty strong at both ends of the fields and has nailed down the LB spot for the foreseeable future.

How good is this guy. Rarely makes a mistake and always picks the right passes, great distribution etc.

With Flannigan I always could see he was playing above himself when he had that good year. Robertson on the other hand looks calm and solid and looks to be playing at his level.

Looks like Robbo is getting a new deal worth 60k a week.. which is double of his current 30k a week contract. Well deserved!
