Watched Chasing the Dragon last night Red, good in small parts BUT trite and formulaic in most others. Given the quality of the cast, especially Donnie Yen and Andy Lau, I was left disappointed with a slight "seen it all before and done much better" feeling.    :(

yeah I  agree mate ,wasn't  a classic,it was a bit limited given the room they had within the story to create. I watched The Villainess the other night ,Korean action fest, enjoyed it but felt it lost its soul a tad with the first person shooter scenes ,other than that its non stop fella and worth a watch if only for not being able to avert your gaze from the impossibly beautiful Ok bin Kim  :hearts

Haven't watched it yet bit I've got "The Villainess" queued up Red.

Meanwhile this last week I've been working through two Korean tv shows. I'm two thirds of the way through the superb "Black", I don't know whats going on half the time but I can't stop watching   :buttrock

The other show I'm binging on (also on netflix) is "A Korean Odyssey", what I'd term a supernatural comedy with some dark corners, I'm on episode 9 of a projected 20  :D

Yeah, I watched it the other night and although it started well it faded towards the end,I think Netflix have started hashing out that many films that they forget the importance of context in a 'reasonably' original script.

Hey Red

Coudn't find the link but i know you recommended this one.

Finally watched it last night.

Totally insane hardcore violence   :wwww

Tried to keep up with the body count in the opening first person shooter scene but gave up after 28 (I couldn't keep up )

Loved it  :D

Won't win any "Oscars" but deffo a 10/10 on my kick back and eat some popcorn chart.

For anyone that's interested here's a trailer

PS, what happens next is even badder   :D

Apart from Footy bugger all else on the TV this summer but I stumbled across this one courtesy of Netflix :buttrock

If Korea continues to turn out stuff like this I might have to move there   :D

Despite the somewhat lame title it's totally engrossing   :nod

Sorry guys couldn't find a trailer with English Subs but complete season one with English subs  is available via net flix .

Meanwhile here's a taste of why I'm binge watching this show right now .

Basic plot = Cops recruit seriously hard core criminals to help hunt down serial killers !
