Migs was originally good at shot stopping, but is a liability on crosses, set pieces and has butter fingers. Karius surely can improve on that. I wonder if he will feature in the champions league as well as the league games.

Absolute class today ,the shot from Arnautovic that he tipped over the bar was a phenomenal stop.

Another worldie from Karius today he is stepping up and making important saves, perfect time to be on form.

I wrote him off a long time ago but he's starting to prove me wrong. Hope it's not just a purple patch in his form and he keeps playing like this, would save us a lot of money if he can keep this up.

Great save. Would have made it 1-1.

I'm not saying we don't need a new keeper, but he is just marginally better than Mignolet.

Life as an Lfc player is a blank sheet of paper. Every game, you are evaluated and re-evaluated. If he makes a howler next game v the manure, suddenly we'll all be calling for his head.

That's just the way it goes, people make mistakes, we're not Robots. That's just life.

Adios

He seems to be getting more confident which is gradually bringing the best out of him. Instead of fumbling he is now commanding the area when balls are whipped in.

Second game changing save in a row and that can only do his confidence a world of good, may it continue.

Looking like the player he was in the German league. Will be interesting come the summer, when Klopp has to bring in a replacement for Migs. Spend big on a number 1 or give Karius his big chance and promote Ward to number 2?

I take it back and doff my cap to RBG. Stick by him, with confidence and a consistent backline he genuinely seems half decent. Watching Cech today I'm surprised he doesn't get battered as much as Karius was.

Whether he's the answer going into next season is another matter entirely but so far so good.

VVD has transformed our backline giving the rest confidence. We've got a decent unit and a leader at the back something which we were lacking. Robbo also cementing the LB spot has helped keep the unit going. Communication seem better between the lads at the back.

Yep, with removing some liabilities from defence and adding Virgil in there, it seems we have significantly improved our back line. Well, at least we don't look like conceding every time the oppo is attacking.

IMO, composure is key now for Karius, which is something Mignolet lacks. Honestly, I don't think that Karius is a lot better than Mings, but if he can restrain himself from making silly mistakes, stay composed, and make important saves every now and then, then he might just keep his place for next season.

Mignolet is not good enough, Karius is on trial until the end of season.

I’d expect him to make that save
