Bit bored soo....

Lets just say for arguments sake City and Chelsea were not bought buy Abramovich and Mansour who would have won the Premier league.

June 2003 - Roman Abramovich buys Chelsea

03/04- Arsenal
04/05- Arsenal (Chelsea)
05/06- Man Utd (Chelsea)
06/07- Man Utd
07/08- Man Utd

Aug 2008- Sheikh Mansour buys Man city

08/09- Man Utd
09/10- Man Utd (Chelsea)
10/11- Man Utd
11/12- Man Utd (Man City)
12/13- Man Utd
13/14- Liverpool (Man City)
14/15- Arsenal (1-Chelsea 2-City)
15/16- Leicester
16/17- Tottenham (Chelsea)

Well looks like Mannure would have continued their dominance which eventually haulted after Ferguson departed.
We would have just won 1 title..

Redshade........your point is what??

I'm wondering how come we haven't won the league for 27 years. Is it down to money?, bad luck?, bad managers?, the board (yank owners Gillette/Hicks etc), the competition? What is the main reason? There is something fundamentally wrong in LFC's approach.

That's great reading if your a Man Utd fan. without Billionaire owners, Man Utd can still afford to go out and spend 100m on Pogba, 75M on Lukaku, etc etc. They are still a huge club with a 500m turnover or whatever. plus they are no longer a stock market listed company also, but they still have financial might. It looks like money rules these days.

I thought the team we had under Benitez:  Pepe Reina, Hyppia, Henchoz, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerard, Kuyt, Torres Etc. , was proabably the best team we have had, since the last title win in 1990. I'm surprised they didn't win us the league.

These days, it looks like money rules, and for Klopp to successfully win us the Premier League we will need to bid big for the worlds best players, because it looks like the sugar daddy owners of Chelsea and City are here to stay.

I personally think Money is ruining the sport and the FA should be stepping in, as Man City OBVIOUSLY have an unfair advantage with the money they have got. Before the takeover, they were just some Kack mid table side with Joey Barton, Shaun Goater etc, going absolutely nowhere. Then., with new owners, they start buying Robinho etc etc. The FA should fine them.

At least when we had the likes of John Barnes, Beardsley etc. Those guys were only earning 5000-10,000 A week. And Fowlers first contract was about 3000 a week. Not 100,000/week , 200,000+ as some of these money grabbers are earning. It's a complete joke..

No point necessary just wanted to see who else would have won the league.

Man Utd is a global brand they have reaped their rewards for all the success they had in the 90s. They can still spend and comepete. However money is nothing unless you have a good manager who knows what his doing. I guess thats why they have struggled since fergie left but under Maureen are slowly getting back there.

To be honest the only way we will compete is if we are bought buy some rich guys or the others have an off season like when Leicester won it.
