yeah...hamstring could be out for the derby too. However, you can't be too cautious with hamstring injuries, because if it snaps he will be out for the rest of the season

Yea I did too.  He had some really good saves today, namely against Torres, and his positioning saved us a few times.

this few yrs reina has been beaten by the near post too many times.
jones has a better distribution of the ball, everytime reina clears a backpass is a disaster waiting to happen.
reina is better in the air and slightly a better shot stopper.
for me clearly reina is still our no.1 and jones's role is merely to act as a backup or a kick in the backside for reina.

I was very disappointed with Jones' distribution in his first couple of games (a strength of Reina's I believe), but he has improved on that, and we are benefiting from Jones taking the time to pick out a player rather than just hoofing it. The longer it goes on the harder will be Rodgers decision once Reina is over his injury, but Reina is still number 1 in my book.

Reina has lost his bounce, not his ability. It's time for him to move on and get some excitement back into his life.

Very old thread for a not very memorable player but I felt like this needed posting:

https://twitter.com/goal/status/931992043684900864

Feyenoord's fans (Jones' current club) paying tribute to Jones' deceased son, Luka, who died of leukemia at the age of 6, to mark the 6th anniversary of his death by singing You'll Never Walk Alone.

Wasn't the best keeper for us but I always liked him for some strange reason. Very happy to see he's doing well in Feyenoord.

Wow, that's amazing, what a terrific gesture. As you say mate glad to see he's doing so well over in Holland, especially after all he has been through.

Apparently he was a big reason why Feyenoord won the league last season after 18 years. Considering our goalie situation we might even want to consider bringing him back :D

But truly, a great gesture by Feyenoord's fans. Very nice touch with the lights from the mobile phones.
