Think (surprisingly) this will prove tougher than last nights game v Bayern.

Atletico looked far sharper in their game v Napoli than Bayern did against us.

Really interested to see the line ups for this one.

Griezmann if he plays will be a right handful.

I'd play the reserves if I was Jurgen, what we don't want with a week and a half to go before the season starts is an injury to a key player like Coutinho, Salah or Mane. Pulls and strains tend to happen when players are fatigued and imo 2 games in 2 days (on top of a tough pre season training schedule) is just asking for trouble.
Imagine having to go into that CL qualifier without some of our star men because of injuries picked up in a pre season tournament? Once the season starts none of us will even remember what the Audi Cup is!

They are a strong defensive team and will be a good test for how we will do against most PL teams that will line up in a similar way against us. BM played attacking football which we seem to favour so not surprising we did so well. An early goal will be key!

Completely agree. Bayern were happy to have the ball which plays into our hands. We're absolutely lethal on the counter but we already know that.

The bigger test is showing we can break down sides that invite us on them, because that's where our struggle lies.

He was the mutts nuts in his first three seasons. His final season showed he was (physically and mentally ? ) in decline, we were lucky that Chelsea didn't suss it and we got £50 million for him.

Would have hailed and remembered him as a Anfield hero if he'd left us to return to Spain or some other continental destination BUT to move to one of our fiercest rivals was for me an unforgivable betrayal of the love we'd shown him.

Make no mistake , he knew how much his move to Chelsea would hurt us but in true mercenary tradition, he didn't give a sh*t   :kungfu: .

Don't have any time for the mercenary fkr !

Even though his departure felt really horrible back in the day, I hold no grudge against El Nino now. I'm looking forward to seeing him play again.

Maybe the idea was to play top strength against Bayern and show to Keita: look friend, this is what the _best_ in your league has to offer. Are you still sure you don't want to agitate for a move?
